We are excited to host the Lakeside Triathlon/Duathlon Weekend for the seventh year in one of the nicest venues in Ontario. From the tree covered Transition Area to the clean and clear water of Lake Sunova this is a race that has quickly become a series favourite.
Transition
Grass covered and under the trees with lots of shade.
Swim Courses
The water at Lakeside is very clean, but it is a bit colder than it has been in past years. The temperate was measured at 70F earlier this week and is expected to rise a couple of degrees before race day.
The 3-5 participants can wear life jackets, water wings and be accompanied by one adult. The 6-7 participants can also wear life jackets and water wings.
ALL Kids under 10 will be able to touch bottom for the majority of the swim and the 3-5 and 6-7 year olds “swim” is for of a swim/water run in hip deep water.
The older groups (12-15) will start in deeper water and will have a run in from the end of the swim.
Bike Courses
There will be an OPP officer stationed at each bike turnaround. All bike courses are on partially closed roads. There will be some vehicular traffic so please exercise caution and be alert.
