2010 Newsletters
December 2010
Wow! What an incredible season. But where did the time go? Our season ended in spectacular fashion a few weeks ago in what was our most memorable season ending Awards Day ever. Thanks to Gears, triathlon superstar Simon Whitfield juggled a busy weekend of activities and attended our event just before flying back home to celebrate his wife’s birthday. Simon charmed all in attendance, shared some cool stories – the Yao Ming chugging story comes to mind, answered a ton of questions, and graciously handed out awards and posed for photos. Our award winners were definitely spoiled. Where else will you have an Olympic Gold medalist present you with your award? We always try to improve and give you our best but this may be hard to top. Thanks again to Simon and Kevin Wallace at Gears. The upcoming holiday season will likely be a challenge to most. Trying to slip in training, limit weight gain along with doing the obligatory family meals, parties, and if you are lucky, going on vacation to someplace warm. This final newsletter of 2010 will try to help you navigate through this time with tips from Richard Pady and the rest of our contributors, provide excellent holiday deals from out sponsors, give you training opportunities for the new year, and tell you a few exciting changes to some of our races. Enjoy the December Newsletter and thanks for making this the best season ever, more to come in 2011. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year, and Happy Training!

November 2010
Suffering any triathlon or duathlon race withdrawals yet? No worries, before you know it, a little over 7 months will fly by and our first race of the 2011 season at Woodstock will be upon us. Until then, you've got lots of training time to be even better than you were last year. We at MultiSport Canada will be doing the same. 2010 was our best year ever, and we look forward to bringing out bigger and better things in 2011. Even though the racing is over, we still have one more time to hang out together at our Series Awards day on November 28 at the Mississauga Golf & Country Club. It is a beautiful venue and tickets will be in higher demand this year because of our special guest - the great Simon Whitfield. We must thank Gears Bike Shop for making this possible, and at this special event, they will also unleash the new 2011 Specialized product line. After attending this Awards Day you are sure to get charged up for the upcoming season. To help with your preparation, this newsletter is packed with articles from many of our coaching partners in this series. Read, learn a few things, and most of all, enjoy.

July 2010
Can you believe it's July already? We are closely approaching the halfway point of our season and the first half has certainly been a booming success with our debut at Woodstock, a soggy but great day in Binbrook, and our inaugural Welland Half Iron which was a huge hit. The wonderful news is that we still have lots of awesome races to choose from (except Gravenhurst of course since the Triathlons are sold out). So make sure that you make the best of the summer racing season and join us for a few more. And for those of you who completed the Welland Half Iron Triathlon, especially the women, please consider racing the Cobourg and Wasaga Beach Olympic Triathlons, this way you can qualify for the Triple Race Challenge and the chance to win cash and prizes. Enjoy this edition of the newsletter, we have some important series news, our monthly exclusive book offer, Ask the Coach, articles about fueling during the bike, riding aero, swimming for newbies, a first timers view of the Welland Half Iron, and much more.
